The Azizi Hotak Group had recently decided to widen its business interests in Afghanistan by establishing a full-service commercial bank in Kabul under the name and style of "The Azizi Bank".

The bank  has opened on June 13, 2006.

The bank is initially capitalised at US Dollars 7.5 Million and Mr. Mirwais Azizi Hotak is the Chairman of its  supervisory board. A capable professional management  is being put together to run the affairs of the bank  on a day-to-day basis.

The bank is expected to grow to  a branch network of at least 10 branches in and outside Afghanistan in the short-term and is expected to play a significant role in the economic development of the reconstructed Afghanistan.
